I was fortunate enough to have served with Brad for seven years, and two deployments to the Middle East. Brad was the first person I met when I walked through the doors of Charely Company in Gresham, Oregon. He introduced himself and then proceeded to show me around the armory and introduced me to all the members of my new company. Many words have been used to describe Brad's attributes like honorable, loyal, and duty bound. None of these accurately describe his finest quality of being a true friend. The word that best describes SSG. Brad Lindsey is "Unconditional." Brad was the epitome of this word in every sense. He gave of his friendship,love, and time without question, to all those who were willing to accept it. This is the legacy that he leaves behind, and one that I will continue to model my life after. We can never be to unconditional with our lives, love, time, and friendship because when our time here on earth is done, this is all that we will leave behind. Rest easy in the hands of God my friend until we meet again.

I didn't get a chance to know Brad- but
Kailina has become quite a part of our
family. I didn't know until today that
Brad was only two years older than I am;
I only met him the once for Kailina and
David's wedding.
Rest in peace Brad. Quite the legacy
you left to our family in Kailina.

I was reminded of reading about Jeremy's death when I recently received information regarding our 10 year reunion at Gresham High School this summer. Jeremy and I weren't close, but had Japanese class together and were seated by one another due to an alphabetical seating chart. I remember him as a happy-go-lucky sort of guy. He always had a smile on his face. Oddly enough, I also remember his laugh even ten years later.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice, friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, your wife and daughter. Ki o sukete, ne.
