I'll always remember Rich as a very kind, fair, courteous person that had a great sense of humor and a dazzling smile. So sorry to hear of his sacrifice and the loss to his family and young daughter. Someday I will stop at the memorial in Salem, find his name, and pay my respects. Sincerely, Juli Ross-Mota, CHS class of '91.

Brandon wrote: Ryan, just wanted to say I remember you. We were friends in 1st grade then after that never saw each other again for some reason. It's strange to remember you as this childhood friend in a place I fondly remember as Keizer and now fast forward 13 years and you're dead. Even stranger that I am shedding tears because of it, but hopefully not too strange. Life for me hasn't been so easy even less so now that I'm in the army. I remember in the days leading up to my deployment here and asking the hard questions and the big question, and realizing that I could very easily die alone and miserable. I hope that wasn't the case with you. If it was though, I thought I should let you know that I remember you and I hope you're in a better place. I love you brother. Rest In Peace.
