Kevin D. Davis

When his soldiers returned from a mission, Kevin D. Davis always made sure they had something hot to eat. "He was an example of what a noncommissioned officer should be," said his roommate in Iraq, Staff Sgt. Jessie Scharder.
Davis, 41, of Lebanon was killed April 8, 2005, after his Humvee was hit by a roadside bomb in Hawijah. He had three children.
Davis, a 14-year veteran of the National Guard, worked at a juvenile detention center and was a reserve officer with the Lebanon Police Department.
His wife, Robbin Davis, said he was fulfilled by his efforts in Iraq to help build a school. "I got a letter home that said, 'Now I know what this is about. Now I know why I'm here,' " she said.

Kevin,
In your honor of you, I will take as many soldiers and children fishing until the day I meet up with you again.
